《美好如此》讀演版由三位表演者——姚坤君、王靖惇與許瑩美，以「或讀或演」的方式呈現作品中細膩的人物情感與關係。本次演出不依賴繁複的舞台調度，而是以簡約空間與象徵性道具為核心，讓觀眾將注意力重新回到文本本身，感受語言、節奏與聲音所構築的情緒張力。透過演員的語調、呼吸與停頓，角色之間的情感流動被放大，而舞台的留白也成為觀眾展開想像、與自身記憶共鳴的重要場域。
作品承接2020年《如此美好》的核心脈絡。原作以父親的獨白書寫晚年孤寂與對亡妻的深刻回望；《美好如此》則轉換視角，以平行敘事方式回應相同記憶中的不同片段。原本從「女兒」視角出發的角色，在此次讀演版中特別由編導王靖惇親自改為飾演「兒子」，更別具特殊意義。
劇中三位角色——母親、兒子與外籍看護二代，各自背負困境，宛如三座孤島。在暴雨困住三人的漫漫長夜中，他們隱藏來此的理由，卻意外發現過去彼此的牽連。於衝突與溫暖交織之間，他們在不同生命階段面對自我、家庭與離別，尋找重新啟動人生的契機。
此次也是《美好如此》首次以讀演形式於陽明交大呈現，透過王靖惇以兒子的角度重新詮釋，帶來不同的情感重量，並以兒子的視角作為全新入口，使作品不再僅是母女情感的回望，而更廣義地指向親子連結與生命課題的提問，呈現出另一種方向與層次。

The Moment follows three strangers brought together by heavy rain in the same guesthouse. Each hides their true reason for being there, only to uncover unexpected ties and confront questions of love, family, and life. This staged reading, featuring Yao Kun-chun, Daniel Wang, and Hsu Ying-mei, uses minimal staging and symbolic props to highlight the text’s emotional depth. Through conflicts and silence, the performance invites audiences to feel the characters’ connections and imagine beyond the words. This presentation marks the first time the work is performed as a staged reading at NYCU.
